Counterattack Physical Demands

🎥 How took take game actions and correctly transform them into scenarios that we should replicate in training? What factors do we need to consider?

🧑‍🏫 It is important to identify the physical demands that occur when performing certain actions during the course of the game. It is equally important to classify these demands by positions and the teams playing style. Parameters can vary greatly per position with different styles of play.

📊 If I analyze that my wingers will be demanded to run at high intensity/sprint for 85m during a counterattack x amount of times during a game, then I better make sure I prepare them physically during training so that they are able to perform such actions successfully.

🎯 I do this by correctly designing training exercises in the spaces/dimensions, and time periods that those actions will frequently occur.

🧩 Where will counterattacks be produced accordingly to my playing style? Which players are directly involved? What are the physical demands (speed/distance/frequency), for each of those positions?

📝 In the current example, I know that I will need to create a training exercise with a space of approximately 90x70m in order to replicate with precision the counterattacking actions that will occur during a game.
