Bright & Hove Albion - Offensive Organization Concepts

๐ŸŽฅ Brighton & Hove Albion โ€“ Offensive Organization Concepts

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿซ Brighton have been known for their impressive build-up structure under current Head Coach โ€“ Roberto De Zerbi. In this short clip, we can observe some of his concepts during the offensive phase of the game.

๐Ÿ” Recognize the build-up is on by playing short when in possession with numerical superiority. In this case - 7v5.

๐Ÿ’ก Identify where the pressure is coming from once the ball is live, and find the free player/s. This is usually the fullbacks, provoking the first pass to be out wide.

โœ… The wide play will drag the high press from the opposition towards the sideline, meaning that spaces will open to play the ball back inside further up the pitch and allow progression (outside/inside).

Playing the ball outside to attract pressure towards the sidelines, in order to create spaces and free players inside, is one of the most effective offensive concepts to implement.
