Bayern Munich - Rondo 4:2+1

🎥 Bayern Munich Training Exercise - Rondo 4:2+1

🧑‍🏫 Rondo situation with four players positioned outside occupying each side of the grid (blue) vs. two defenders inside (red) + one neutral player in the middle (yellow). The numerical advantage is a 5v3, meaning that the player on the ball must have at least two passing lines open at all times.

🔍 The idea is to create passing triangles, and inside/outside combinations through the neutral player in the middle. The key is for the neutral player to checkin and checkout to either bounce the ball to the same player or progress by passing the ball to the player positioned on the right or left.

By designing the shape of the grid as a long rectangle, you provoke the short patterns combining with the deep pass to the furthest neutral to relieve pressure.

🎯 Offensive - ball possession, third-man play, inside/outside combinations

🎯 Defensive - compact web, closing the middle channel, defensive cover movements
