Arsenal FC Training Exercise - Rondo 5v3 + Transition 3v2

🎥 Arsenal FC training exercise by head coach Mikel Arteta.

🧑‍🏫 The exercise has an initial rondo structure of 5:3 with a transition into a 3:2 overload situation in attack. After so many passes, the team in possession can connect with one of the two attackers. This player must then lay-off the ball with a third-man creating a 3:2 scenario in attack.

📝 To implement a variation - once the attacking team finishes the play, the goalkeeper plays the ball to the team who has just defended and counterattack in a 5v4 situation the other direction.

🎯 These types of rondo exercises with transitions into more complex situations are very interesting. They allow the players to understand the game patterns in smaller cooperation/oppositions scenarios before progressing into larger group-play or team-play exercises.
