🧑‍🏫 Arsenals philosophy under head coach Mikel Arteta has been to play on the opponents side of the pitch for as long as possible. This means that the team must have excellent control of the ball, as well as aggressively and intelligently counterpressing in defensive actions to prevent the other team from counterattacking.

⛔ The objective is to recover the ball before the opponent breaks into a counterattack.

🔼 Having numerical advantage around the ball is key to successfully counterpressing. By having more of players positioned around the active zone, it will give your team a better chance at recovering the ball.

🧐 Forward defending first to later use those opportunities once the ball has been recovered to create scoring opportunities (when the team is in unorganized defense).
